“The Hunted” spends its entire 80 minutes hunting for cohesion. The actors in this movie should have hunted for a better script.
This cat and mouse movie is entirely devoid of the kind of suspense it takes to make a good action thriller. L.T. Bonham, played by Tommy Lee Jones, is a self-taught survivalist brought out of retirement to track his former pupil, Aaron Hallam, played by Benicio Del Toro.
You might remember Del Toro from great flicks like “Traffic.”
You can forget that performance because in “The Hunted,” he seems emotionally overtaxed. Capt. Kirk and the entire Enterprise crew from couldn’t have saved this movie from itself.
Most scenes aren’t done well. The premise is overdone, the script was poorly written and the scenes were put together without much consideration.
