Based on information from talking to different sources, there are mainly three places on campus to meet people.
At these locations you stand a pretty good chance of hooking up with someone who may be looking for you.
Noemi Angel, 20, a speech pathology major, said that the outdoor patio in the Campus Center is the best place to meet people from ages 18 to 25.
It is considered a good place because there is a lot of traffic with people coming and going all day to the Panorama Grill to eat and to cross campus to get to class.
Another place is the large rock outside the Campus Center, which some students refer to as “cock rock.”
Many students said this is the best place to meet singles. BC student Bertha Torres, 18, said, “The best time to get together at the rock is around 11a.m. to 12 p.m.”Natalie Lozano, 20, and Jackie Santiago, 19, both child development majors, said that “cock rock” is the place to be.Down from the rock is another spot that some students call “Arvin Rocks.” According to Alfredo Guzman, an industrial technology major, the best time for meeting people there is 11:10 a.m. to noon.
Valerie Tapia, 18, a criminal justice major, agreed with Guzman that the Arvin Rocks is a good place for singles.
Raul Hernandez, 18, a business major, said most anywhere outside on campus is a good place to meet people.
Becki Whitson, a BC psychology professor and human sexuality instructor, said people 18 to 25 look for physical attraction along with similarities and similar interests.
She said those between 25 and 40 have some different ideas.
Although looks and attraction play a role, people also consider values, morals and what someone puts into a relationship.
