Career Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1 in the Campus Center.
This annual event was created to help students who have an idea of what career they want but are not quite sure how to obtain the opportunity to acquire their dream occupation. To help them get to where they want to be, many employers of various fields come and inform the students about their specialized field. This year, employers from the areas of human services, child care, education, corrections, healthcare, computer technology, food service, retail and more will be attending.
Michael Brown, a criminal justice major, said, “I think that the Career Day would be a great opportunity to find a job in the corrections field.”
Stephanie McGuire, a child development major, said, “Now that I know about the Career Day, I am definitely interested in attending, and I am really excited to see what the great door prizes are.” Every attendee is asked to bring a resume and be prepared to meet with employees about careers and job openings.
To get more information on Career Day, go to the Job Placement Center, upstairs in the Student Services building, next to the Financial Aid Office or call 395-4550.
