Club set to host One Act plays
October 18, 2016
The Bakersfield College Theatre Club will be performing their One Acts show on Oct. 27 and 28.
The scenes are written by or modified by BC students, and will include students performing the roles.
The show will be in the black box theater, PAC room 107, and will begin at 7:30 p.m. It will include a collection of five individual scenes revolving around Halloween.
Reg Autwell will be directing the piece he wrote himself, “Family Halloween,” which tells the story of Josh who is in a polyamorous marriage to Lee and Mary and tries to convince them to share in his joy of the Halloween holiday.
Other scenes include the comedic side of morbidity, a werewolf and a young couple, and a family fight on Halloween.
Each scene will be intermixed with the technicians changing the sets in a scene of chaos to give the audience a sense of being “behind the scenes.”
