2024 has been an amazing year for films and the end of the year does not seem to let up with exciting releases.
From many different things like biopics, horror, and even some good old animation coming for all movie fans very soon.
One of my most anticipated releases is Robert Eggers’ adaptation of “Nosferatu”. Based on the 1922 classic silent horror film that set the precedent for many vampires across the world Eggers plans to show his version of the story in a new way. With major stars like Willem Dafoe and Bill Skarsgård, to newer stars such as Lily-Rose Depp and Emma Corrin. The movie is going to be in theaters on Christmas Day this year and fans of vampires and horror should see it.
Another movie being released on Christmas Day is the Bob Dylan biopic starring the ever famous Timothée Chalamet as Dylan himself in “A Complete Unknown”. The movie is set to follow the uprising of Dylan in his early 20’s as he hits the music scene and begins to make a name for himself in the industry. The director for the movie is James Mangold who has done many other famous biopics like “Walk the Line” which was about Johnny Cash. This movie has a lot of promise and will most likely be a great one for lovers of music to see this holiday season.
Coming sooner than those two movies on Nov. 27 is a very exciting release of the sequel to one of the most famous Disney movies, “Moana 2”. Moana is a household name now with many little girls and boys across the world loving her and wanting to watch the movie all the time and now we have a sequel to the much loved story. In this movie we follow Moana as she travels the seas in search of a call from her ancestors. Disney movies have not been holding up as well in recent years with the movies “Wish” and most of their Marvel movies not doing amazing in theaters. Hopefully “Moana 2” can break this cycle.
Many movies to look forward to at the end of the year and we can only hope that they will be as good as all the other movies that we got in 2024.
