For many incoming college students, deciding on a career and how to get there is a challenge. Will I like my career in 10 years? I like science but I don’t k now if being a doctor is right for me?
To help students narrow their interests, Bakersfield College had the Career Pathways Open House on Saturday, March 6 in the BC Cafeteria. The event was co-sponsored by KGET TV-17.
Career Pathways is a new career concept that lets individuals select from six broad fields then narrow down choices until they find the right career for them.
Students could choose from Health Servies, Agriculture and Natural Resouces, Arts, Media and Communications, Business, Management and Technology, Engineering and Industrial technology, and Public and Human services.
