Nearly 1,500 mud-covered participants stormed through the obstacle course at the year’s Bakersfield Voulkslauf.

The Volkslauf Ultimate Challenge has been occurring for the past fourteen years.

The Volkslauf is a mud race with obstacles such as the Devil Doom Ditch, a quater-mile trench  of waste deep water and the Peleliu, an obstacle that forces participants to cross ditches of muddy water.
