The agriculture department’s annual orange sale was held on Jan. 25-26. The sale, which occurs at the agriculture laboratory across from the Grace Van Dyke Bird library every year, raises money for the Agriculture department. The annual sale has been going on since the late ’70s when the trees were first planted by former professor Keith Haycock. Handpicked bags of the fruit cost $3, while pre-picked bags cost $5. The funds go toward supporting field trips, farm equipment, feeding the department’s animals, maintenance and other financial needs.
