On the week of March 6th, the Gadfly Cafe was organized at the Fine Arts Class 65 by the Professor of Music Kris Tiner; and the topic was none other than talking about music. This event was organized by gathering students in a roundtable which is an open meeting for all students to be involved in a driven conversation about social and political issues, but music became something different than that when it comes to entertainment and arts.
The Professor started up with questions and answers for students on how music can affect people in situations as well as where music can lead younger adults.
During the roundtable, the professor said that “you can make a living with music and anything with it.” Tiner mentioned the upcoming events from the performing arts including the theatre plays and music concerts.
While there are great opportunities to bring music and philosophy students together in classes, he brought up about political significance, social mechanism, and cultural significance. Just as this meeting was all about music the next roundtable they will host will be held next month on theatre and acting.
