Every semester the Office of Student Life holds an event called Paint n Sip, held on Sept .3.

In the dining commons with the purpose of bringing students together to meet new people, hangout with their friends, or go on a date with their significant other. The event was filled with many talented people, provided with food and beverages.

Some people came for food, conversation, spare free time, and a way to have a friendly competition with their friends.

Danica and Angel, both thought it would be a great idea to spend their afternoon together and paint with each other. “We found out about this event through Instagram and thought it would be cool to spend time together since we had free time,” said Danica.

Deja Martinez, an employee in the office of student life, said “our once a semester paint n sip offers our students a space to relax, paint and chat with their peers.”

At the event students had an option on whether they wanted their painting to be hung up in the dining commons or for themselves to keep. There were three contestants that were chosen at the end of the event and won a BC fanny pack care package with treats.

This year’s Paint n Sip theme was Bob Ross. Students had the option whether to paint Bob Ross or something he has painted, himself.
