If you or a friend are taking part in “Halloweekend” festivities, it is crucial to prioritize safety for yourself and others. Designate a driver or arrange transportation such as an Uber or Taxi. Do not drive under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. It can lead to fatal consequences.
Some safety tips on how to stay safe this Halloween are to go with a group of friends, do not take open beverages from strangers, or get a ride from someone who is impaired, avoid walking alone at night, walk on designated crosswalks, and always stay alert. As well as choose costumes that do not obstruct your view.
If you happen to come across an impaired driver report the driver to the police by dialing 911. Give the dispatcher as much information as you can such as the vehicle’s make, model, color, and license plate, all while staying at a safe distance away from the possibility of the driver being impaired.
