Thousands of Raider fans lined up at Sacramento’s Arden Fair Mall recently to get autographs from Raider’s wide-receiver Jerry Porter and tackle Lincoln Kennedy and donate a toy to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The line stretched from one end of the mall to the other and back with Raider fans of all ages, some sporting jerseys, face paint, spikes and Raider tattoos.
Besides the players, the event was attended by some of the teams cheerleaders, the Raiderettes, and Spike, the first football fan to be inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.
All toys donated went to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Sacramento. Shriners hospitals provide pediatric care in orthopedics, spinal cord injury treatment and rehabilitation and acute burn treatment and rehabilitation.
