It was one of the largest events held at Bakersfield College in years.
Thousands of people crowded into Bakersfield College’s Memorial Stadium to participate in the Kern County Festival 2004 with Franklin Graham.
The three-day festival, which was held April 2-4, featured musical acts, the superhero Bibleman, and individual testimonies of faith from civic leaders such as Mayor Harvey Hall, former county supervisor Mary K. Shell and City Council member Irma Carson.
Franklin Graham, son of the Rev. Billy Graham, gave a brief sermon every night of the free event.
