The Bakersfield College Jazz Ensemble will perform for the first time in 2004 at the Spotlight Theater on Sunday at 7 p.m. and again at the BC Campus Center noon May 13.

At the Spotlight Theater show, the ensemble will be joined by Bay Area jazz guitarist Noah Phillips and members of the Cal State Bakersfield jazz program. It will feature music by classic jazz musicians. Tickets are $10 and the proceeds will be used to support scholarships for music students.

The Campus Center performance on is free, and along with the student ensemble, a faculty ensemble is expected to perform.
