The Bakersfield College Panorama campus was evacuated for over an hour and a half after a bomb threat was called into the Bakersfield Police Department anonymously on Nov. 12.
Students were asked to leave via email, landlines and mobile devices at 3:53 P.M., prompting the temporary cancellation of scheduled classes at that time.
At 5:29 P.M., a second alert was sent out saying that 33 buildings on the entirety of the campus were searched, as well as all open areas.
“After the exhaustive sweep, our Incident Command has determined there to be no threat to campus and classes will proceed as scheduled,” the email stated.
