House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi continues to make history. In 2003 Pelosi became the first woman ever to be elected as the leader of the Democratic Party.
On Nov. 7, she became the first woman to serve as the Speaker of the House.
For years we have heard only empty promises from the suits in Washington, D.C.
We now have a woman who will clean house and get things done.
Because of Pelosi’s strong political background, she has become a trailblazer, and a role model for women across this nation.
Her no nonsense “get the job done” is very appealing to men as well as women.
Pelosi is a doer with every intention of getting results. With Pelosi’s leadership, there will not be any procrastinating, filibustering, and blatant rhetoric.
When I see a woman who demonstrates strong leadership, I can feel comfortable knowing that the best man for the job is a woman.
Let’s get rid of the do-nothing lawyers and the good old boys who use Washington as a socializing country club to fatten their wallets.
If I hear another person say that we need to fight the terrorists in Iraqi instead of here, I will scream.
They are already here. Take a look around you.
With Pelosi’s strong background in intelligence and security, she will bring our young men and women home.
You cannot change the mentality of the people in Iraq who have been fighting each other for centuries.
They are still living in the days of the Old Testament.
They are still dressing like Jesus Christ. So how do you think Bush will convince them that they should live in a democracy as we do?
Bush will never give in to his mistakes.
Pelosi will help him fix his mistakes her way, the right way.
It is about time that we are giving women in this country the recognition that they deserve.
Pelosi has a strong base and support system.
Her father is a former congressman, and mayor, and her brother a former mayor.
She has served 19 years in the House of Representatives. Pelosi knows the importance of family and children.
She is a strong advocate for women, children and health issues.
She will make sure that women and children across this nation are properly educated, have health insurance, and housing.
She made sure her family came first.
She began her political career late in her life.
She waited until her five children were grown before she ran and was elected in 1987 to the House of Congress. She wanted to be totally focused on being the best she could be.
With all of the negative noise I hear about her, I’m looking forward to her proving them wrong.
Pelosi will get the job done
