Taco Bell has announced their brand new Cantina Chicken menu which features 4 new items with a brand new sauce, Avocado Verde.

The first of the four items, the Cantina Chicken Burrito, features Cantina chicken, lettuce, pico de gallo, purple cabbage, avocado ranch, chipotle sauce, and cheese. This burrito was very delicious. The price of the burrito was around $6 after tax. It stands as one of the most expensive burritos on the menu.  The chicken was very good, and it tasted so much better compared to the chipotle chicken ranch. One major difference between the two is the price as the Chipotle chicken ranch was originally $2.

The second item would be the Cantina soft taco which features Cantina chicken, avocado ranch, lettuce, purple cabbage, cheese, and pico de gallo. Both the burrito and the taco are great. The ingredients go amazingly well together. At $3 it is probably the best food for value item from the Cantina menu.
Compared to the standard chicken Taco Bell serves, the Cantina chicken tastes much better. Its slow-roasted style gives it a better feel and flavor. Taco Bell usually does not taste amazing, the Cantina chicken was a pleasant surprise.
The third item, the Cantina crunchy taco, is different from the soft, and not just the shell. The crunchy taco features chicken, creamy jalapeno sauce, and cheese on the inside and outside of the shell. This taco was very messy, but it tasted very good. At 3 dollars it’s slightly more expensive than the regular tacos but is a good alternative to the normal food from Taco Bell.
The final main item from the Cantina menu is the quesadilla. The quesadilla is nothing too special as it is just a regular quesadilla with cheese on the outside and chipotle sauce. Taco Bell does give buyers sour cream and guacamole along with the quesadilla which is a nice dip on the side. At $6.49, it is around the same price as the normal quesadillas and is a good alternative.
Finally, the Cantina chicken bowl isn’t anything too special. The bowl is just the regular, now removed, power bowl but with cantina chicken. They appear to cost more than the power bowls but have slightly more ingredients. At $7.89, this is one’s only option for a bowl at Taco Bell currently.
Overall, the Cantina menu is unique and one of the best limited time features they have created in a while. It was a nice change of pace from the usual nacho fries or random burritos. While some items are expensive, they do have some of the best flavors at Taco Bell.
