Attention all anime nerds! Do you want a new anime to watch? Are you sad about “One Piece” and “Demon Slayer” going another break? Then “Dandadan” might be the next anime you want to add to your watchlist.
On Oct. 4, the new anime series “Dandadan” created by Yukinobu Tatsu released on Netflix and Crunchyroll for those to see. With the original manga first released in 2021, audiences were excited to see the jam-packed action that the show has to offer.
The anime did not shy away from instantly showing the story it has to offer. In the first episode, fierce medium Momo Ayase and shy Ken Takakura, then later nicknamed Okarun, become the most unlikely friends for their interest of aliens and ghosts. Both passions mixed later caused them to get into some deep mess that carries for the rest of the episode.
With Ayase being captured by robotic like aliens and Okarun being processed by a Turbo Granny, who is an evil spirit who causes mayhem through the series.
“Dandadan” has the same comedy as “One Piece” and the same animation as another famous Netflix anime “Devilman: Crybaby”. It is filled with constant reminders that it’s not your normal anime. With the first four episodes out, you get to see the randomness the show has to offer.
When watching you see both Ayase and Okarun yelling back and forth towards each other, giving the audience a good laugh. Not only does it capture the hilarious scenes of Okarun having to be punched or kicked by Ayase, but it shows the many entities they must fight off.
The show captures the comedy and gags of the manga while also giving audiences amazing animation and fight scenes that allow you to see the series in a whole new light. This show is something you will not want to miss because it is one of a kind and you’ll never see anything like it again.
