The Bakersfield College track and field team placed in all but eight events during the BC relays on March 7.
The women’s team swept the 100-meter and 200 dashes. Natalie O’Dwyer, Jade Gridion and Rashana Watson each placed first, second and third in those events, respectively.
Moriah Milwee took first in the women’s 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 12:27.77. Paola Silverstre came in behind Milwee, taking second in the same event, with a time of 13:19.16.
Esthefani Perez took first in the women’s pole vault with a jump height of 2.59m (approximately 8½ feet) and placed third in the women’s javelin toss with a distance of 24.58m or 80½ feet.
The women’s team placed first in the women’s 1,600 relay race, coming in with the time of 4:01.92.
Jessica Cambell came in second in the women’s 1,500 with a time of 5:03.75. Orieth Rodriguez took third with a time of 5:04.16.
Leah Theroux took third in the women’s 800 run, coming in with the time of 2:21.72.
Alicia Torres took first in the shot put with a distance of 12.83m (42-feet 1-inch), and took second in both the discus throw (36.49m; 119-8) and the hammer throw (28.93m; 94-10). Tiffany Tellez came in third in the discuss throw with a distance of 26.29m (86-3).
Deon Louden won first in the men’s 400 hurdles with a time of 57.56. Isaac Perez took second in the men’s triple jump with a distance of 11.64m. Juan Calderon took second in the men’s 800 run with a time of 1:56.59. The men finished third in the 1,600 relay with a time of 3:36.17.
BC will travel to Antelope Valley for the AVC 5-way meet on March 21.
