BC was fighting hard for their win throughout the game. In the 2nd half, BC was having difficulties overcoming an elite offensive pace by West L.A.
Unfortunately, BC fell behind for good after the Wildcats opened the 2nd half with an 18-9 run. It was a devastating loss for the Renegades as they dropped a second straight game at home. With their season past the halfway mark, their record stands at 10-6 (win-loss).
BC looks for a hot streak to end the season with 11 games to go. One of those games will be against these Wildcats on the road come Feb. 10. They’re striving to make it to playoffs.
After the game, Tyler Silva said that “he wasn’t feeling it.” It was a tough night for Silva, as he only scored five points on 2 of 11 from the floor to go along with five rebounds and one assist.
Asked about his pregame routines, Sean Johnson said he is usually “eating, stretching, taking practice shots, and calling his family to ease his mind.” Johnson finished the game with eight points, three rebounds and one assist.
Everyone’s goal is to win every game and go deep into the playoffs. Practice makes perfect, and that’s where hard work pays off. Assistant coach Jonathan Glover puts some insight into how he feels for this season, as he has “a bit of optimism” while “hoping for players to become the best they can be.”
While the result was not the one BC hoped for, the players and coaches showed they can be better. Their next home game is vs Santa Monica on Jan. 27.
