AK (Amy) Pachla speaks of writing as something she is, not something she does.  Born in Detroit, Michigan, AK is a relatively recent transplant to the Bakersfield Area, and is currently in her fifth semester at BC.  AK’s future plans are to earn a BA in journalism and begin her career as a reporter.  From there, she hopes to get the experience that will help her earn a Ph.D. in communications with the goal of revolutionizing news media.  “We can’t change how people do news,” says AK, “so we have to change how news does people.”
