Marvel’s Hawkeye: Review

Hugo Maldonado Garcia, Senior Dogtial Editor

“Hawkeye” is the fourth and latest Marvel Cinematic Universe tv show which premiered on Nov. 24.

The first two episodes premiered on the same day and so far the show has a great start and seems to be heading in the right direction

“Hawkeye” stars Jermeny Renner as Clint Barton or better known as Haweye himself, actress and singer Hailee Steinfield is Kate Bishop, Vera Farmiga is Eleanor Bishop, the mother of Kate and Florence Pugh is set to reprise her role of the Black Widow film character, Yelena Belova.

The star studded cast shows promise and high hopes for the Disney+ show and hopefully the continuation of more MCU films in cinemas.

The show is set a couple of months after the effects of “Avengers Endgame” where Barton has to deal with the mistakes of his past and the aftermath of losing his best friend. His character meets a young archer by the name of Kate Bishop who drags him out of retirement and decides to help her from the events she has found herself in.

The show could not have come at a better time as the holiday season is upon us and the show is set around Christmas time.

“Hawkeye” is meant to be watched as a family as it tackles the importance of helping people and protecting your loved ones.

As someone who has always found archery a very entertaining sport, “Hawkeye” proves that you do not need to have powers to make a difference. All it takes is having a good heart and a talent in helping others is enough.

New episodes of “Hawkeye” stream on Disney+ Wednesdays.
