Do you want a free coffee? Do you have any questions about your classes? Do you simply have concerns about your future at BC? You’re in luck!
Along with the nice cup of coffee, students were able to talk to a few of BC’s counselors. Many students who did attend talked to counselors and other students about new information regarding the 2025 semester. They asked simple questions that will help them succeed in their current classes.
On Tuesday Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 11a.m., in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, BC’s counselors had set up in front of the Dining Hall for students to enjoy a cup of coffee and pan dulce.
The counselors who had been present were Jessica Nunez, Cythia Quintanilla, Vanessa Bell, and Angelica Caudillo. Each one advises students to not be afraid and come and talk to about any concerns or questions you may have. “No question is a small question”, said Quintanilla.
“We show students how to sign up and sign in to meet with their counselors and tell them the importance of knowing new information that we as counselors can give to them. Also, while we are out here, students are able to sign up for programs like EOPS programs that allow students to sign up for priority registration” said Bell, EOPS counselor.
Each counselor made it very clear that students should get in contact with their counselor and talk about the new information or updates that are being sent out about the new upcoming semester.
For the next month until November, BC counselors will set up the “Cafe y Consejeria” once a week for students who have any questions or concerns about anything pertaining to their classes or their academic stance here in BC.
So, if you want a free cup of coffee and delicious pan dulce join our counselors every Tuesday and learn about the new information about anything and everything here on BC’s campus.
