BC Women’s soccer team took the win 5-0 in a Conference game against LA Valley Monarchs.
The Renegades took on the LA Valley Monarchs Oct. 4 on a hot and sunny day. BC wasted no time in applying pressure to LA Valley’s goalie with almost scoring. The pressure was too much to handle and BC player Emily Vincent (12) defender/ midfield with two goals in the first half with great assist by her teammates. Vincent’s two goals had BC up with a score of 2-0. LA Valley was struggling to take some shots but were defensively keeping up with BC. No other scores were made in the first half leaving BC up at the half 2-0.
The halftime was 15 minutes leaving both teams to talk over what they can keep up or change in the second half.
The second half began, and the Renegades made sure not to take their time in scoring. Midfielder Alexandra Gallard (14) with a goal and five minutes later another goal was made by another midfielder, Griselda Espinoza (20). These two back-to-back goals had the BC fans hype in the crowd, and it was hard to see LA Valley making a comeback. BC was up 4-0 by this time. The assist by BC were what made scoring easy for the team. Although, BC was up 4-0 they still were fighting on the field defending and making sure that LA Valley had no chance in scoring or making a comeback in the second half.
BC had made already four goals but that did not stop Vincent from scoring her third and BC’s fifth goal before the game ending. The game ended with BC having an easy overall score of 5-0 win against LA Valley.
BC had a total of 20 shots, 10 of their shots were blocked by LA Valley’s goalie. BC Women’s soccer team next game is a home game Oct. 8.
