The Renegades men’s basketball team continues their winning streak, 4-0, after their Victory against Cuesta.

Last Friday in the gymnasium at Bakersfield College, Cuesta’s and Bakersfield College men’s basketball teams played a very close game that ended in Cuestas defeat with an ending score of 80-77.

During the first half of the game the renegades were off to a slow start falling behind a few points and letting cuesta take the lead, but going into second half BC managed to tie with Cuesta making the score 21-21.

Within the 3rd quarter, BC managed to take the lead by 14 points, but in the 4th quarter, the Cougars tied once again with BC that left the score 62-62.

As the clock ran the teams fought tirelessly with back to back scoring, then in the last 50 seconds BC took back the lead even though Cuesta tried to catch up by making focus during the last 30 seconds to try and rebound the ball for a chance to score and avoid defeat, but the Renegades wouldn’t let up and finished the game.

Game leaders, Sophomore Tyrell Coleman (4) lead with 25 points and 8 rebounds while Vince Damelio lead with 5 assists. As a team BC had about 35 rebounds, 20 assists and 15 turnovers.

As the renegades go further into the season we can be confident that more wins will be brought back with BCs men’s basketball team.
